Toosii Philadelphia Concert reviews
Bring a fan and I don’t mean friend.
We entered the Wiltern and it felt like a sauna at 100 degrees. Many of us, over 45, mistook it for a hot flash. Not the artist's preference, as we were informed multiple times. Remember to bring a fan and don a tank top.
She was tardy as well. The show supposedly began at 10:30, yet she didn't truly kick off until 11. The disappointment came when there were no nostalgic tunes from our youth by Toosii. She briefly teased two classics but appeared to have forgotten her roots that brought her acclaim.
Towards the conclusion of the performance, she depicted the destruction of a city and forests, a tasteless move. Los Angeles has endured numerous fires impacting countless individuals in our community. It was insensitive of the producers and Toosii to include such distressing imagery during our recovery process.
It was my first and final time attending a Toosii show. Unless she adjusts the temperature to a comfortable level and includes at least 5 tracks from her other albums to please the audience.
